      Synopsis

Elizabeth MacKinley is immediately drawn into the ancient world of the handsome Jacob Macgregor when she reaches the Highlands in Scotland on a scientific grant. Jacob tells her of a 700 year old curse that has been put on the MacGregor lands. The curse was brought on by his ancestor, Alexander MacGregor, keeping the lands haunted and in ruins. Confused, lost and terrified, Elizabeth can't believe it when she wakes up in the year 1295 on the bank of Loch Ness. She realizes she must locate Alexander to find her way home. Hunted by the English, swept up in the Wars of Independence, and fighting alongside William Wallace, Elizabeth will have to make a heart-wrenching decision that spans across seven centuries.
