      Synopsis

"Earl Lee is a masterful satirist. His latest target is the Rapture Cult and the Left Behind series that popularized it. I found myself laughing aloud throughout this quick and satisfying read. The book is witty, sexy, and as sharp as surgical steel."
--Robert Bahr, author of Dramatic Technique in Fiction

December 14, 2003: Unacquainted as I am with the Tim Le Haye, 'Left Behind', series, and I see no reason to ever want to enlighten myself about it, much of the parody in 'Kiss My-Left Behind' was lost on me. But the book stands alone as a hysterical romp exposing the willingness of people to buy into the outrageous machinations of today's leaders. 'Kiss My-Left Behind' lays bare the foolishness of those who seek a person, a philosophy, a president, or a preacher with the answers to every question. According to the 'rapturists', those who think for themselves will be left behind. According to Earl Lee, those who think for themselves will, at the end, have it revealed to them that the only appropriate response to the purveyors of fear and fundamentalism is, 'Kiss My-Left Behind'.

December 02, 2003: This book is a Hoot! It takes LaHaye's 'Left Behind' series and knocks it in the head. The story is about Ramrod Steel, a pilot who thinks his wife and son are taken in The Rapture. Also, it takes shots at George W. Bush, who appears as the Antichrist: Nickelay Dubyah, the Fearless Leader of the former Soviet Republick of Texrectumstan. Any library that has LaHaye's books should 'balance the collection' with this title. Truly a bizarre book!
