October 11, 2006: I really liked this book. Lots of fun to read and I could relate to the people in it. Its more realistic than a lot of other horse books I've read. No silly stuff that horses would never do. I read it twice.

March 23, 2006: Like the Perils of Pauline, Ellen Feld has crammed this 200 page book about horses and teen agers with all kinds of things that can chill the heart of a grandparent. Frankly, now that I know what might happen, I'm glad I don't know when my grandaughter is out riding in the woods. That said, this book is a page turner that will keep teen agers pleasantly occupied.
