April 06, 2006: I read this book a few months ago and it came at the perfect time. My husband and I adopted a little boy from Russia who has FAE. I felt helpless to parent him correctly. I desperately searched for a book that would help me do better. And I found this book. I bought it and read it. It changed my life. It equipped me to be the best parent I can be and to meet my son's needs. Also, it helps me see that FAS/E can be a blessing in some ways. This book gives a parent hope. And it would give a person who has FAS/E hope too. ALl I heard about FAS/E before this book was just hopeless and despair. This book should be read by anyone who has children in their lives who might have FAS/E -- teachers, parents, foster parents, medical professionals, therapists, etc.
