May 28, 2006: Never being a sailor or a dog kept my interest throughout the entire book.The story line and descriptive nature of the fellows caught up on shore leave titilated the mind and aroused the emotions.Truely a sailor's recount of many escapades on land and sea.The book will keep your interest from start to finish with the graphic and descriptive happenings.It had to be a truely believeable stay in the navy with lasting memories that made signing up to serve the country worthwhile. A great first novel. A FRIEND
