    Synopsis

In this enlightening new look at one of our most successful, most popular, and least understood presidents, bestselling author and former Reagan aide Dinesh D'Souza shows how this "ordinary" man was able to transform the political landscape in a way that made a permanent impact on America and the world. Ronald Reagan is a thoughtful and honest assessment of how this underestimated president became a truly extraordinary leader.

March 09, 2009: Ronald Reagan has always been and continues to be my favorite president thus far. He faced an extraordinary amount of challenges and met them all head on. This book very clearly gives the reader enough information on Ronald Reagan's life and past to help one make an educated decision on the debate of whether he was a good president or not. Although I began reading this with a bit of bias, I finished it with a new outlook on what I believed.

I HIGHLY recommend this- even if you're not one of Reagan's fans, it is a very interesting read that can help you gain perspective.

December 02, 2004: Being a high school student having previously studied Reagan, I had learned all the basic fundamentals of his presidency. It was not until reading this book that I realized the amazing mystery behind a man with whom many Americans related so well. D'Souz portrayed Ronald Reagan in his many lights; the son of an alcoholic father, a determined actor, a laid-back president, and a relentess fighter for the future of our nation. Though D'Souza's supportive view of Reagan shines through, he allows for each reader's own interpretation. With each page of the book the reader can unmask the mystery behind one of the most celebrated Presidents of our time.
