When modern medicine declared the author's autoimmune disease hopeless, the Great Physician proved otherwise. More then a book about miraculous healing, it reads like a novel as the author traces his life's journey from the hard streets of New York City and his wise guy days; the hilarious times of raising ten children, his school days at the old age of 45 with a two year term in Bible college; the lose of his health, livelihood and his 24 year old son in a car accident. All while doing battle with his incurable autoimmune disease Polymyositis, and taking on the American Health Care system. His perseverance and toughness helped him win battles most man would have yielded to. The book brings hope and encouragement to anyone fighting a hopeless illness, or a seemingly losing battle, though the author's infectious mind-set against bowing to, what he calls the Pawnbrokers of this world. A healing experience for the price of a movie.

July 03, 2001: Dear Al: We don't need another self-help book without God. We don't need anything minus God! Al, I was so moved by many of the things you shared in the first few chapters...especially the story about seeing your uncle in the hospital and when the tear dropped from his eyes as he was close to his death...I, too, believe he could hear you and responded with that tear. Your book is such a testimony to God and His Power. I will be praying as you make your decision to republish your book. I think it is excellent as is. Shelley Johnson, Missouri
