Ellen Harris, a glamorous singer with a major contract, is haunted by nightmares of childhood abuse and the brutal murder of a loved one. Just as life is turning around for her, she must face the terrors of her past -- and a new terror, even more vivid, in the form of a murderer who will stop at nothing. Ellen has no choice -- she is alone, and she must pursue the murderer to the bitter end -- even if it means losing her own life.
Ellen and Gayle Morgan are close sisters who suffered but survived a rough childhood. Both of their parents having been major league drinkers until they died in a car accident. The younger sibling ended up in the terrible Evansdale Home for Girls for six months. It took the then seventeen-year-old Ellen with the help of a teacher to get Gayle out of that hellhole. Now over a decade later Ellen waits for Gayle to get together for the holidays before the younger sibling goes on a singing tour because she signed a lucrative record contract. When Ellen goes to the airport to pick Gayle up, her sister is not on the plane. Ellen is stunned and deeply depressed to learn that a sociopath raped, tortured, and killed her sibling. Ultimately, Ellen filled with a deep rage and needing vengeance decides to go after the killer. She goes on TV daring the monster to come after her, which he does. This woman in jeopardy novel will appeal to readers of psychological suspense and romantic thrillers. Nowhere To Hide requires daylight reading because the plot will scare the wits out of an audience that suddenly will have keen hearing and hear every bump in the night.
