In response to challenges currently facing the system of global governance, some people have called for the establishment of a new multilateral forum, known as "L20," which would involve the leaders of 20 nations. In this volume, 14 contributions from international academics and practitioners offer arguments in favor of the L20, emphasizing the larger role that it could play in bringing about reform of the global economic and financial systems. English is affiliated with the Center of International Governance Innovation in Waterloo, Ontario, as are a number of the contributors. Annotation ©2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
