January 03, 2003: Some titles are misleading. Not this one. I twice had the privilege of being Dr. Phillips's student. This book is the next best thing to being in one of his seminars. Above all, he demystifies the writing process. Like most things of value, it is not easy, but need not be torture either. The main tactic he taught me is that of refusing to wait for the muse. Do the work and the muse will come to you! Very highly recommended.
