Textbook Information
Morrison (University of Pennsylvania) explains basics of multivariate statistical methods in this text for a one-semester course for students who have not had previous courses in statistical theory. Coverage includes samples from the multivariate normal population, tests of hypotheses on means, the multivariate analysis of variance, classification by discriminant functions, inferences from covariance matrices, and the structure of multivariate observations. For this fourth edition, an overview of traditional univariate statistics and a summary of matrix algebra concepts have been moved to a web site. There are also new exercises using actual data sets.
