November 08, 2009: I am a big fan of Laurell K Hamilton books. I really enjoy her writings. Her writings is a mash up of Stephen King and Anne Rice put together. I like how she put her own spin on the vampires.

My favorite character of the book Nikoloas. I believe she had some good in her some where. She just didn't know how to portray it to others. LOL.

I really enjoyed Anita Blake and her adventures, and I am looking forward to plenty of more.

October 31, 2009: While I am also a fan of the Charlaine Harris vampire books which heavily influence the True Blood series, I feel that Laurell Hamilton has truly captured the essence of the vampire. Both seductive and yet chilling. In her character, Anita Blake, we are able to experience this dichotomy while at the same time remaining at a comfortable distance. One can only hope the rest of the books in the series are this good.
