January 28, 2010: This book was very different and interesting. The way it was written kinda reminded me of J.R Ward Blackdagger Brotherhood the writing style only. The stories were totally different both were good though. I will recommend this book as a must read. cant wait to read the next book

January 10, 2010: OK. It took me several chapters to get into this book. The writing style is somewhat different than I am used to. You really have to concentrate on the historical details to keep up with the plot. The characters are not carbon copies of every other vampire novel around. I'm liking the concept that vampirism could be more of an infection than just who someone is. I love the way Alex and Micheal aren't just automatically in love, and rather have a love hate type relationship. I'm wondering what is in store for John. He has that bad boy playing a good boy thing going for him. That leaves Lucas. I'm not so sure he is all bad. We'll see. This book is worth that time to read even though it is not a cookie cutter romance thriller!
