    Synopsis

    NATIONAL BESTSELLER

“The most lacerating tale of drug addiction since William S. Burroughs’ Junky.” —The Boston Globe

The introduction, discussion questions, suggestions for further reading, and author biography that follow are designed to enhance your group’s discussion of A Million Little Pieces, James Frey’s furious and inspired memoir of addiction and recovery.

    The San Francisco Chronicle

[I]t gives away nothing to say that he finds himself whole at the end of A Million Little Pieces. How that came to be would be a first-rate tale of suspense, if it weren't drawn so hideously from an actual life.—James Sullivan

James Frey shook up Oprah's Book Club with A Million Little Pieces -- a detailed account of his battle with drug addiction and experiences in rehab. But it was the ensuing debate about the line between fiction and nonfiction that really rocked the literary world.

January 23, 2010: A very good book. I read it before the truth was out, i still loved it, it kept me on my toes the whole book. This book had me laughing, crying, and just in ahh. it's amazing and even if it's not true I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a good read!!!

January 16, 2010: I really enjoyed this book and enjoyed the book club discussion we had over the book. Despite the "hub-bub" that Oprah made over the fact that some of the book is fabricated and over-elaborated, this book still was a fantastic read and insight into the mind of an addict.
