Poisons Are Everywhere!
They are in the air, water, plants, and soil, as well as in our homes and in our work places. Full of amazing anecdotes, this book shows how poisons have been used throughout history as agents of both good and evil--for medicines, pest controls, and beauty enhancers, as well as for murder, terrorism, and war.

December 31, 2008:
I enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. The first reason is that it is well written. The style throughout the book is extraordinarily chatty and witty, but makes it personable. The second reason is that it is interesting. Poisons are everywhere, but what will poison who? How does it work? Who has used it in the past? How has it been used in the past, and so on. I have more reasons, but I don't want to write them down.
The one problem that I have with it is that it takes place primarily in Australia and London. I am an American. I want to know about Richard "the Iceman" Kuklinski, and yes, Crippen may have been born in America, but he commits his crime in London.
All in all, however, I liked it, and it is the first nonfiction book I had read in a long time.
