      Biography

      Ruth Meyer Brown is a retired school administrator and a teacher who specialized in learning disabilities and reading. She is a recognized babysitting expert, who has been featured in such publications as the Chicago
      Tribune, the Denver Post, Washington Woman, Senior Beacon, and on web sites like epregnancy.com, geoparent.com, and Grandkidsandme.com. She co-authored How to Organize Your Child and Save Your Sanity (1980, revised 1999) and Simplified Phonics (Learning Disabilities Association of America, 1998,). She writes a grandparent advice column,"AskNana," featured in Washington Woman. Ms. Brown lives in Vienna, Virginia and Melbourne Beach, Florida.
