September 13, 2005: I enjoyed this book immensely. John Piper explained solid, biblical truths with such clarity. I thought I understood salvation, but he explained it in even a clearer way. This helps explain why God is not less holy or sovereign because evil is in the world. One morning I was reading 'Desiring God', and as I read, I realized that joy was invading my soul, and I couldn't do any thing to stop it! I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to set their Christian life on fire again.

March 28, 2004: John Piper is extremely gifted at discerning Gods word. He shows biblically that we are to seek our joy/happiness in our life, in Him..and that this is not seperate from our #1 reason God created us--To glorify Him!!
