In his thirty years with the National Park Service, Jim Burnett has seen it all: boat ramp mishaps that have sent cars into the water; skunks in the outhouse and bears at the dumpster; visitors looking for the bridge over the Grand Canyon.

December 30, 2008: This book will leave you smiling for weeks. If you've visited at least one of the national parks, you'll identify with many of these stories, but you don't have to have visited the parks to enjoy what's on these pages. Get the book, share it with your family and friends who are planning to go or have been to our parks. I must say that after reading "Hey Ranger," I wonder if the bears are not smarter than some of the human visitors. Enjoy, a good read.

October 11, 2005: I purchased this book while on vacation last month and read it in three nights. I had a hard time choosing between sleep and the book. Jim is an excellent writer who captures your interest from page one and holds it until the end of the book. I'll never think of chicken soup in quite the same way!!! I now have an even healthier respect for rattlesnakes and sorry to say, I'd probably be one of those that should've paid more attention in school. I'm planning to buy several more to give as Christmas gifts. There is no need to even be interested in National Parks or Rangers to appreciate the humor and practical lessons learned in this book!
