      Synopsis

Fans of spectral fiction will be intrigued and impressed by this dark, convoluted tale spanning time and dimension. When the psychically gifted yet morally bankrupt Moriah betrays the trust of a wealthy client by kidnapping her son, her greed unleashes a maelstrom of physical and psychic events that lead her to Whitebridge, Massachusetts. Here, she discovers her culpability in a missing person/double-murder case that occurred decades before her birth. Helping unravel the mystery is naive, local psychic, Emma Lange. Effervescent Emma is happier baking brownies than finding murderers, yet she is compelled to discover how and why Piper Thorton's very existence is threatened by Moriah. Follow as Emma wends her way through her fearful visions and dreams to unravel the sticky web that threatens the life and sanity of her best friend and reveals Moriah's shocking secret.

April 11, 2007: If you like an easy read, a ghost story, a story of the paranormal and reincarnation, you're just getting started on this book. Great characters. Moriah, the kind of person you love to hate. The female Gollum that drives the story. A complex plot line that will confound the reader right up until the last page. Great for book groups who like to delve into the underlying theme of personal responsibility and predestination....or just have a great read of a super suspense.

February 17, 2007: The 'web' analogy drew me in. The cover was dark and moody, just as the title suggests. Better, is the story. Again, the tale is a thrilling mixture of murder, kidnapping, ESP and psychics all of which are captured in the title.....As the characters are snared in the web of the tale, so too was I, as a reader.
