September 27, 2009: This, this first in David Domine's Haunted Louisville series, is my favorite because there is so much neat background information about the neighborhood where he lives. Also, there is more personal information that his other two, including the story about his own house where there was supposedly a ghost. Always a skeptic, Domine doesn't know if he believes in ghosts or not, yet he does finally open himself up to the possibility at the end. A very enjoyable book.
I Also Recommend: Phantoms of Old Louisville, Adventures in New Kentucky Cooking with the Bluegrass Peasant, Haunts of Old Louisville.

April 09, 2007: Thank you to the author of Ghosts of Old Louisville: True Stories of Hauntings in America's Larget Victorian Neighborhood for a great read. I found the storytelling both informative and entertaining, and I was especially impressed by the wonderful descriptions of the lavish Victorian homes that dot the charming area known as Old Louisville. I haven't been there yet, but after reading this book, I have to visit this undiscovered gem of a neighborhood. I want to see the impressive architecture and get to know the real ghosts of Old Louisville.
