May 26, 2008: Anyone who wants to understand how the environmental movement can gather momentum and be effective after January 20, 2009, needs to read this book! Chris Bosso takes us on a concise, readable, fact-filled journey through the ups and downs of the environmental movement in the past 100 years. Especially helpful is Bosso's emphasis on the patterns in the growth, retrenchment, adaptation, and management of the nation's leading environmental groups. He shows us how these groups relate to one another and to the politics in Washington.
