January 30, 2008: Without a doubt, Caprice Hokstad led me deep into Latoph and held me captive with her beautifully crafted story. It's a love story that tells of the highest order of love, one that is totally unselfish and sacrificial. It's a tale of deep friendships and honor. Great themes, but also a wonderful fantasy. Mrs. Hokstad has done a masterful job of creating countries with differing cultures, landscapes, and customs. In this novel there is a great deal of suspense and danger, some surprising twists that make the reader unsure of just how everything will end. Also some humor in just the right places. This is one highly enjoyable read, yet full of inspiration and matters to make you think.
