September 23, 2006: So buy this book and make the most use of it! Just think of this book as kind of martial arts program for your brain. Each chapter (and there's 22 in all) stands out on its own and discusses a particular area you can improve on, such as memory, creativity, math, communication, and so on. It's an easy read and since each chapter stands out by itself, you can jump around and go to the areas that interest you the most. A great book with a lot of clever and PRACTICAL ideas, I give it 5 stars easy.

Author Ron Hale-Evans, has done an outstanding job of writing a book that is designed to help you learn to hack your brain intentionally, safely and productively. Evans, begins by examining ways to improve your ability to remember information ranging from the periodic table of elements to phone numbers, maps, and spatial locations as well as, how not to leave your keys and your cell phone at home. Then, the author shows you how to minimize the demands on your attention by maximizing your ability to process this deluge of information. Next, the author reviews some useful techniques for almost any creative challenge you might encounter. The author then examines basic hacks to do mental math, including the four-banger operations, how to check your math, how to count to large numbers on your fingers, and some practical applications, such as calculating the day of the week for any day on the calendar. He continues by helping you separate high-priority from low-priority issues and how to decide to take action on those priorities. Then, the author shows you how to get ideas across in ways that are clear, creative or cryptic. He then discusses hacks for gaining the emotional and intellectual clarity and the perspective needed to solve problems and make good decisions.
