      Synopsis

A true story of the dangerous mission to rescue two executives from an Iranian jail under the direction of Ross Perot. A compelling picture of Iran just before the revolution that put Ayatollah Khomeini in power.

      Biography

Known around the world for his string of smash-hit spy thrillers touched off by 1978’s Eye of the Needle, Ken Follett’s taut tales -- spiked with more than a dash of sex appeal -- have earned this author (and sometime blues guitarist) a reputation as a master of international intrigue.

March 16, 2009: From the very first page to the very last - it's a typical suspense drama.

Follett's writing talent and attention to details is in every book. Wow!

And having known the Perot Family - the portral of Ross is right on spot.

October 12, 2002: You sometimes make judgements about people based on what someone has told you, or what you read about them in newspapers.

Reading this story proves that most people who redicule others really are a sad lot, because not only do they do the people injustice, but they show their own ignorance.

This story is a prime example of true character.

Someone once said that character is what you are when no one else is looking.

When Ross Perot ran for political office, there were those who insulted his speaking mannerisms, his appearance and many other aspects of his outward appearance.

This story is remarkable in that a man who is head of a company, values his employees to the point that he is willing to risk his own life to save them when they are taken captive and held hostage.

It also shows how little value of life our federal government has, unless they have some vested interest.

Perot was a true hero...a role model that any young man or woman should be proud to emulate.

It should be required reading for all high school students.
