      Synopsis

Emma Holly loves to take a walk on the wild side, and here she ventures into a sensuous and dangerous world where a human courtesan becomes the flesh and blood property of a demon prince. Soulmates, lovers-and victims of an unnatural desire that could drive them both insane.

February 28, 2009: Holly definitely has a grasp of detail when it comes to "hot" subjects. The setting and plot were interesting as well. Every now and then I had to adjust to her mix of genres with this book, as periodism and futuristic content came together as unexpected "normalacy". However, the erotic thread throughout this whole book kept me reading!

November 01, 2008: What I really loved about the story was the unique setting and cultural details. It was definitely not what I expected but it stands out as being one of the more memorable novels I've read. I was never aware while reading it that this was part of a series and I really appreciate that. Of the books in this series that I read after this, I consider this the best. The characters are interesting including Pandhir who immediately spikes interest though his story comes later. Of course the sex scenes are steamy and plentiful which is always a positive but it's a greater positive that I remember this story for much more than that. My only wish is that there were more like this.

I Also Recommend: Companion, Demon's Fire.
