    Synopsis

With his trademark, child-like art, Todd Parr celebrates mothers, whether they drive a minivan or a motorcycle or work in a big building or at home. Full color.

Represents a variety of mothers, with short hair and big hair, driving minivans and motorcycles, swimming and dancing, and hugging and kissing their children.

    Publishers Weekly

Just in time for Mother's Day and Father's Day, a pair of books by Todd Parr celebrates different kinds of parents. "Some mommies work at home/ Some mommies work in big buildings," states The Mommy Book, accompanied by Parr's signature combination of simple text and neon-bright contrasting colors with bold black line. Similarly, The Daddy Book highlights the differences between dads. (Apr.) Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.

May 06, 2003: All moms are worthy of special words regardless of their careers. As we see in this book, raising a family is certianly a career and moms are reflected in new and different kinds of lights. This would make a great gift for Mother's Day and for fathers on Father's Day as my hubby enjoyed it too. There are a few others I have enjoyed sharing with him and he seemed to agree on. One of them we both especially liked was Mommy-CEO, by parenting expert and columnist, Jodie Lynn. She also shares insight into the lives of moms but does not leave out dads. If you don't have these two - consider it a done deal.
