January 27, 2005: Stephen J Fernbach's first published book, a collection of short poems, 'A Man of Verse for Better or Worse' really struck a chord with me, from the time I first picked it up. The poems are autobiographical and through rhyming couplets give insight into Fernbach's life. Little by little, through several poems that mention his half-brother, step-dad and mother, and his viewpoints on social issues like religious tolerance and the 'World According to Fernbach' is painted. All I can say is that really touching poems, short enough to read on the train before your next few stops, hold poignant and reflective thoughts. It's almost like you had a nice afternoon, in the span of a few short minutes it took to read one poem. Some memorable ones to read include 'Almost,' 'A Tribute to Max,' and 'A Man of Verse for Better or Worse.' Hopefully, Fernbach's next published book is coming out soon. I highly recommend this book. Sometimes you only need a few inspirational or contemplative words to put you in a totally different state of mind. This book did just that!

November 05, 2004: Mr. Fernbach expresses himeself very clarely in verse. We get a good picture of who he is and where he came from. Many people suffering depression or worse can relate and find solace with his verses. In fact the general public can relate also.
