Bill Barker, a likable ex-con, leaves a Nevada prison after four years and sees his life filled with possibilities. While unsuccessfully trying to reunite with his wife and children, he learns that his aging mother and father are about to lose their Henry County, Kentucky, farm to greedy land developers.
