April 08, 2007: This boook is awesome. It is the book that connects all of the math, technical, strategy, and rule books to the biographies and autobiographies of the pro players. I got this book free with bonus dollars. I have just about all the books on poker. But I would gladly pay the price of this book as for a gift for someone. The quality of the paper it is printed on and the photography are beautiful. But the information in this book just absolutely makes so much sense. You will be relieved from all the other poker books that are mainly just odds and strategies and the others that are just stories of players' lives. This book covers aspects of life as a gambler, the ups and downs. Yeah it says a little about sex but just that it a great stress reliever (like we neededed to be told that). If you are looking for a book that will be a break from all the others you have read this is it. It may or not help your technical skills but it will give you a better and more confident attitude which will in turn improve your game. Especially if you have been in a slump or just burned out from playing so much and not being able to seem to ever get ahead. I know I have said a lot, but not many poker books have impressed me like this one.

July 26, 2006: Interesting approach, it has everything regarding strategy and it is easy to read. Maybe more on the math behind the game would have been useful. Complete it with a good book on poker odds and you will have the basic tools for a professional play.
