Biography

Jane Austen's delightful, carefully wrought novels of manners remain surprisingly relevant, nearly 200 years after they were first published. Her novels -- Pride and Prejudice and Emma among them -- are those rare books that offer us a glimpse at the mores of a specific period while addressing the complexities of love, honor, and responsibility that still intrigue us today.

April 27, 2009: Pride and Prejudice is not a book that not everyone likes or would even want to attempt to read. I did not understand one thing about the book except that it had a lot to do with love. But im not from the 19th century and i cant comprehend work that is wrote from back then. So i will have to say it was not my favorite book and i like to read but this book was a little too old and not my style.
