    August 24, 2009: interesting read but sometimes difficult to follow (facts vs. fiction); weaknesses might be the at times shortness of detail and background information (family life, personal thoughts, reasons for deeds) as well as the more or less complete cut-out of several periods of RR's life ('62/'63-'64; '76-'80; after leaving the white house); even if it was true that "what one gets what one sees" with RR i'd have liked to know more about what em saw - besides the mostly well known facts given in the book; having had the opportunities and the access to a living and incumbent president i'd expected some more insights;

    August 15, 2009: I purchased the book to read about Ronald Reagan. I was disappointed as soon as I read the publisher's note. The book is a difficult read, because one does not know where fiction ends and reality begins. The way this book is written how can one know what Reagan is about. Multiple times the author iserts his oppinion without regard to facts (at least it seems that way). I would not recommend this book to anyone who is interested in history. As a reader I find it difficult to understand why I have to determine what is true or not.
