November 20, 2004: The Maverick Princess would be worth reading just for the wealth of description of her kingdom. But there is SO much more in this book!! Kristina, the title character, is in herself fascinating and charismatic, but those surrounding her are a motley crew indeed, and require ongoing scrutiny to discern who is 'for real', and who is up to anything from petty court gossip (which matters little) to treachery and treason, which of course, need to be dealt with. Enjoy the read!
