Gibson (communication, University of New Mexico) considers the communication behavior of ten notorious serial killers, and analyzes the findings of numerous previous studies using integrative research and rhetorical criticism methods. Each chapter recounts the events of each case and reprints several of the notes and messages left or sent by each killer, then speculates about their purpose and psychological implications. The writing level is accessible to the general audience. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
