    Synopsis

A financial expert explains what’s wrong in corporate, investment, and mutual fund America, the reasons behind the problems, and what should be done about it

The New York Times - Jeff Madrick

… we should be grateful that an insider like him is willing to elucidate the often murky and apparently deceptive workings of the Street. John Bogle has been making Wall Street a better place for decades. His book is yet another important contribution in an illustrious career.

    Everything Inhuman about Capitalismby pbr

November 14, 2009: If it hasn't dawned upon America yet, it might be a theory for the ages that when economic markets become the focus of security rather than humans being the focus of security, the premise that artificial manmade nature can survive for sustainability as good breaks down like dominoes, and the crashing of kaleidoscope cultures can be heard far and wide.

Nations run for the few politicians and their affiliated wealthy always causes crisis the magnitude of which falls upon not only the living, but also the dead of the future. Altering the processes of life and its intergenerational function is not the province of mankind as it has become to be, and diverts resources from that preliminary prerogative that mankind is supposed to recognize, if not take for granted.

September 14, 2009: A truly great book like this is not written often. This should be required reading for anyone who cares about the future of their country, and who cares to understand the values (honesty, modesty, humility) that are essential to any sustainable capitalistic society. Mr. Bogle should be recognized for his tremendous contribution to economic and moral thought with this book.
