October 24, 2002: This is a book that anyone in a decision-making organization must read. Business, government, and military entities in particular should read it and reflect upon its lessons. The examples that Janis presents are not studies of history, but case studies from which we must learn. I can not help but wonder whether the horrible events of 11 Sep. 01 would have occurred had this book been a required reading and topic of regular discussion and reflection throughout our government and intelligence agencies.
