    Synopsis

Defining that precise moment when a trend becomes a trend, Malcolm Gladwell probes the surface of everyday occurrences to reveal some surprising dynamics behind explosive social changes. He examines the power of word-of-mouth and explores how very small changes can directly affect popularity. Perceptive and imaginative, The Tipping Point is a groundbreaking book destined to overturn conventional thinking in business, sociological, and policy-making arenas.

A collection of the author's personal opinions on complex mattersby Cohan

February 06, 2010: The book is merely a collection of the author's personal opinions on complex psychological and sociological subjects of which he does not appear to have mastery. In addition, the author references many inconclusive studies, or his own broad non-scientific observations in asserting conclusions that cannot possibly be proven. This is another of many recent texts that lack any useful substance from self-anointed psych gurus.

Useful book with "new" perspectiveby Anonymous

January 30, 2010: The original book is about 10 years old so the perspective is new to me but it is good and useful. It is an interesting discussion on word of mouth and how things can be successful or not. I will read more books by M. Gladwell.
