    Biography

    C. S. Lewis was famous both as a fiction writer and as a Christian thinker, and scholars sometimes divide his personality in two. Yet a large part of Lewis's appeal, for both his audiences, lay in his ability to fuse imagination with instruction. "Let the pictures tell you their own moral," he once advised writers of children's stories. "But if they don't show you any moral, don't put one in."

Entertaining for readers of all ages, The Magician's Nephew opens up the brilliant world of Narnia as only C.S. Lewis could.

I Also Recommend: Prince Caspian (Chronicles of Narnia Series #4), Horse and His Boy (Chronicles of Narnia Series #3), Voyage of the Dawn Treader (Chronicles of Narnia Series #5), Last Battle (Chronicles of Narnia Series #7), Silver Chair (Chronicles of Narnia Series #6).

January 24, 2010: There are a few positives and negatives about this book. One negative is the book is written in old English which made it a little harder to read. Another negative is a few of the characters personalities aren't complexly clear. A third and final negative is the witch could get a little scary at times. A positive about this book is the characters are very interesting and well described. Another positive about the book is the plot is very exciting especially when Polly and Digory are exploring other worlds, it is a total page turner. A third positive is it is all very descriptive and because it is written in old English you really feel like you are in the book. Those are a few positives and Negatives about this book.

I recommend this book and many others. A reason I recommend this book is it is exciting and full of adventure. A second reason is it is a total page turner. Another reason I recommend this book is because it is very detailed and descriptive. A few similar novels are The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Horse and his Boy, and Prince Caspian all of the Magicians Nephew are part of the Chronicles of Narnia series. I also recommend The Boggart because it is funny, the Clique series because it is exciting and a total page turner, and the Diary of Melanie Martin because it is descriptive. I loved all of these books.
