      Synopsis

A great book...dark, grim and violent—brutal savage action. Filled with sleazy sex and tense explosive fight scenes! A hardboiled urban occult nightmare!

John Dark was not a very good detective. He drank too much, chased too many women and didn't really care if he lived or died. But Julia Richardson didn't have anywhere else to turn to when her daughter vanishes into the night. So begins a nightmare journey through the bowels of the notorious East St. Louis ghetto. From sleazy strip clubs to violent street corners and back alleys, John Dark and friend Johnny Davis will let nothing stop them in a search for a lost little girl. In East St. Louis life is cheap and death is not always the end.

December 14, 2001: (Blood And Rain) was a wild, crazy and entertaining book. This novel isn't for everyone. It does have a large amount of profanity and violence but for someone like me, who reads a large amount of horror it was great. The lead character was a very bad man who was believable in that he has quite a few of problems of his own to work out besides solving the kidnapping of a little girl. The setting, East St'Louis is a sleezy ghetto where you wouldn't want to be caught after dark. This was a horror-detective story not really a mystery and some of the worst monsters had nothing to do with the supernatural. This was a very enjoyable book to read. If you want to pick up a book that will keep you laughing and horrify you also then read (Blood And Rain).
