It is said that the pen is mightier than the sword. I have been wielding my own personal sword, the results of which have resulted in this first book, Dead Angels Sing No Hymns. In these pages there are no paths to wisdom, only the blackened trail of a man desperate to understand not so much the world, but himself, and the many meanings contained therein. The poetry collected here explores the classic struggles that pervade nearly all human existence: the sacred, the profane, the divine, and the pitifully mortal. It is the innermost world, in all its ugliness and occasional raw beauty, that is exposed within these lines. I sincerely hope that readers will see not only what is hidden in the soul of one man, but also a familiarity that whispers "you are not alone."

October 11, 2003: Firstly, this is an amazing collection of poems. Not only are they written well and in a harsh yet flowing style that captures you throughout every one of them so you have to read them over and over. But they give a wonderful insight in to the ideas and concepts of the author and his take on the many questions that we ask of ourselves and the environment we live in every day. The content challenges our own preconcieved ideas and beliefs as well as his own and makes us think about life and love and the world in a new light but offers his opinions and experience in easy to take language so that you feel you are almost having a conversation, rather than reading dogma. I recieved my copy of this book and read it twice on the first day and will continue to absorb it time and again. Not for guidance but for another take on the things I as an individual questions and experience each day. This is an important book, an intriguing book and a well written book and I hope the author forms many more.
