August 03, 2003: The story of the struggle for Freedom by the Igbo people will forever remain one of the darkest chapters of the evolution of the Nigerian nation. However, SURVIVING IN BIAFRA has shed a light on what has been an untold story.

March 10, 2003: No one who reads this book will fail to come away with a feeling of how war can change the order of things for a people. The author has done a splendid job of capturing the events of that period for his readers. The book profiles one of the pivotal eras of the Nigerian nation. This is a balanced account of what happened decades ago, but one gets the sense that history may be repeating itself yet again in Nigeria. I recommend it to all those who want to learn more about Nigeria and Africa.
