      From the introduction to A Course in Miracles:

      This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.

      This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

      Nothing real can be threatened,
      Nothing unreal exists.

      Herein lies the peace of God.

      April 06, 2009: A Course In Miracles ACIM is a base book to new age thought.

      Originally 3 books, now combined into one. The center "365 lessons" are

      very short, effective, practices for any easy use.

      The basic idea is that we have separated our selves from God, and believe we are separate from everyone else, but this is not true, thus the world (referred to in here, as the ego) is an illusion, and not real.

      It is a writing about love being manifest, and when love is closed, there is fear.

      March 09, 2009: The first time I picked up this book, I found it difficult and confusing. I was instructed to turn to the Lessons for each day of the year. They helped me to understand and to be able to concentrate and read the beginning chapters. Now, when I read I get such insight. Life was NEVER meant to be a struggle. This book helped me to build a more personal relationship with Jesus and to love myself--which I found to be so difficult for so many years.
