August 14, 2001: One can go to church every Sunday for years and never get the message which is spelled out in this book. Dr. Laura covers all the excuses we humans use for avoiding growing up. She points out why they prevent our happiness and progress. Her point of view is compatable with all the major religions which teach that to draw near to God requires rising above our own selfishness. After reading this it became clear to me that the time to get started was now and the way to get started was to get moving. It was enjoyable even while moving me out of my comfort zone.

April 26, 2000: Life altering! Reading this book was like a good slap in the face, I was handling my relationships in all the wrong ways. After several long term relationships, my strong personality thought there's no partner out there for me. This book opened my eyes to what a true loving commitment was all about, my wants and how to get them. I was settling and didn't even realize it. If you are in a deadend relationship or just can't find the 'right' partner, this book will help you see who you are and what you want. Don't accept less than you give! You can't pass this book up!!
