August 29, 2002: This book is fabulous! The author begins with a short history of tea and a description of the types of teas available. She also explains her choice in music. The bulk of the book is comprised of recipes from the best hotels in the world. At the beginning of each section, the author introduces the hotel. This is followed by many recipes, from sandwiches to tarts. Most of the recipes are relatively easy. The author writes in an entertaining manner that gives the reader a sense of the joy of an afternoon tea. In addition, the CD is filled with lovely, elegant tunes that make any tea at the kitchen table feel like a tea at the Waldorf-Astoria.
