March 21, 2003: In spite of a trauma and a stress injury, Jack tries to overcome the problem on his own. It is, 'If you don't at first succeed, try, try again.' The problem was that everyone in Jack's wake was effected. The cost of not having an accurate diagnosis of chronic PTSD and adequate treatment was too costly. Many veterans can't cope with the problems of PTSD and try everything else and fail. Jack survived but the survival was not an achievement of success. It was bare-bones survival.
