    Synopsis

In this follow-up to their book on creating learning communities, Laufgraben (associate vice provost, Temple University) and Shapiro (academic affairs, University of Maryland) continue their exploration of the concept of learning communities, an innovation in undergraduate curricular instruction that allows students to deepen their college experience. They offer teachers and campus leaders insight on campus culture, planning and assessing the curriculum, faculty development, and sustaining living-learning programs.
