February 09, 2008: If you are just starting dungeons and dragons you should get this Monter Manual, the others are just extra, although they are helpful to more advanced players. This has monsters of all different levels of difficulty. With this book you have to get the Player's Handbook, and Dungeon Masters Guide, or else you still can't really play. D&D IS REALLY FUN, so i suggest getting these books now!
