Biography
Jackie Barbosa knew she wanted to be a writer by the time she was seven years old. After detours in academia—she holds a Master's degree in Classics from the University of Chicago—and the software industry, she is at last achieving her true life-long dream of writing romantic fiction.
Jackie lives in Southern California with her husband of almost twenty years, their three children, three cats, and two rats (which are actually pretty nice once you get to know them. June 12, 2009: Behind the Red Door demonstrates the evolution of the erotica genre. The characters in this book are well crafted, with deep motivations and full emotional expression. The writing is lovely, including the authors own poetry, and historically accurate.
