September 04, 2004: We just got our copy of 'Make Your Own Jewish Wedding'. It's great! The authors weave descriptions about Jewish customs and traditions with tip boxes, stories from real couples, and 'nuts-and-bolts' practical information. We have searched for a book that blends a contemporary sensibility with information about established Jewish wedding traditions. This book gives us that -- it definitely has a 'gets it' factor. The book draws from all walks of Jewish tradition while maintaining a sense of openess. One of us is of Spanish and Moroccan descent, so the mentions of Sephardic and Mizrachi Jewish tradition were especially interesting to us. The entire book is very helpful!
