The archival-quality, vellum-finish paper is especially appealing to artists. It will not yellow with time, ensuring the preservation of their drawings, and its smooth surface readily accepts pencil, ballpoint, pen-and-ink, charcoal, marker, and other drawing mediums. Artists also appreciate the rounded and sewn bindings, which allow the books to lie flat while they work. The covers have a leather finish but are actually tough, waterproof Kivar. Trim size, number of pages, and other specifications are printed on a peel-off sticker.
