    Synopsis

Cuba since 1959 has lived under the rule of one man and one myth: Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Together these two created the revolution that drove the corrupt Batista regime from Cuba on New Year's Day 1959, and built -- for better or for worse -- modern Cuba. Fidel's Cuba collects the images of the revolution from the earliest days of hopefulness through the cold war posturing that made Cuba a pawn of East and West.

December 05, 2003: This book has maintained the integrity of all people involved in Fidel's life since the 50s. Roberto and Oswaldo Salas have shown us a world that the American government has omitted from our history textbooks. It is a beautiful and inspiring world and these photographers have brought this historical art to our attention in a dignified manner. Thank you! Finally what I had been looking for!
